Charlotte Harvey

Charlotte Harvey(BA Hons) studied art in Suffolk and has been painting and exhibiting for 40 years. She works as a freelance artist and print maker, exhibiting in East Anglia Cornwall and London.

Portraits figure largely in her work as her favourite subject matter. Her sensitive drawings and oil studies capture her sons’ journey from babyhood to adulthood and her many commissions and private studies bring out the warmth and humanity of her sitters – both young and old. As a member of the Gloucester Print makers Cooperative she has produced a wealth of small etchings of coastal scenes and large woodland images..

Her work has been exhibited on several occasions at the Royal Portrait Society in London and was included in a recent exhibition ‘Women 100’ at Ipswich Museum celebrating the 100 years of women’s vote, through the work of 60 women artists of East Anglia..Other venues have included the Buckenham Gallery,Southwold,;, Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich; Museum in the Park, Stroud.
